Powder Coating

Powdering coating is a coating process that has both high visual appeal and protective durability.

What is powder coating?

Powder coating is a dry coating process that results in a high quality protective finish that is both durable and attractive. It's much more durable than liquid paints.

Powder coating is resistant to diminished coating quality as a result of impact, extreme weather conditions, moisture, chemicals and ultraviolet light. This reduces corrosion, fading, scratching, chipping, abrasions and other wear and tear issues. Another advantage of using powder coating is that once solidified, more layers can be added to the thickness if desired, which will result in even greater longevity & durability.

Powder coating can be applied to aluminium and steel objects such as:

  • Architectural cladding
  • Security fencing
  • Awnings
  • Alloy wheels
  • Motorcycle body components
  • Ceiling lighting systems
  • Signage displays
  • Guttering
  • Garage doors
  • Gates

An alternative protective coating process is galvanisation which is also low maintenance. Find out more on galvanising here.
